From the book: It Took A Village To Kill Jayalalitha

“Something was not right at the Rajaji hall.”

“Do you mean, around Jayalalitha’s dead body?”

“Had Jayalalitha been alive at that moment, she would not have been comfortable with all those people around her.”

“Jayalalitha doesn’t need to be alive. Had Jayalalitha died in any other way, it would have been a different scenario at the Rajaji hall.”

“I don’t understand it.”

“Assume that Jayalalitha was assassinated. On September 21, 2016, at the function of Chennai Metro, Jayalalitha was assassinated by some bad person and she died immediately.”

The bad person shot Jayalalitha on her heart and Jayalalitha died immediately.

Then Jayalalitha’s dead body was taken to Porur Ramachandra hospital. Her usual doctors examined and pronounced that Jayalalitha was dead. Then, Jayalalitha’s dead body was taken to Poes Garden.

People in the Poes Garden gave Jayalalitha, the last bath and decorated her body with her favorite saree. Then the body was taken and placed in a van.

At the Poes Garden, along with others, Sasikala was also standing and bid her close friend Jayalalitha farewell.

Paneer asked Sasikala to get on a car. Sasikala went inside Poes Garden and did a quick face wash and got into a car. Paneer instructed the driver to take Sasikala to Natarajan’s house in Besant Nagar and leave Sasikala at her home. Let Natarajan and Sasikala watch the events together in television at their home.

Paneer instructed a police officer to move all the people out of Poes Garden and safely drop them at their native places. Handle this operation with extreme care, caution, gentleness and respects. Then secure the entire Poes Garden and early next week we will make it as a memorial for Amma.

At Rajaji hall, Paneer was managing the entire operations.

At the top, Jayalalitha’s dead body was placed on a huge bed of flowers. Nobody was standing around Jayalalitha. Throughout her life, Jayalalitha walked alone. Jayalalitha had no friends and no relatives.

As Jayalalitha used to say, she is for the people and her life is for the people only
.
So, let Jayalalitha’s dead body stand alone at the top in Rajaji hall. Let leaders and people come closer to her body and pay their homage to Jayalalitha. This day is dedicated for Jayalalitha only. No other businesses we need to worry about it on this day.

Perfect arrangements were made at Rajaji hall. Leaders could stand close to Jayalalitha’s dead body and could pay their homage for few minutes and could place the flower wreath at her foot. General public could come closer to get a good glimpse of Jayalalitha. But they need to constantly keep moving.

L. Ganesan stayed back home and watched the entire events in television along with his family members.

Tamilisai was standing in the line along with Thirunavukarasu to pay their homage to Jayalalitha. When their turn came, Thirunavukarasu and then Tamilisai spent a few minutes with closed eyes and then they placed their lower wreaths at the bottom and they left the place.

As Rajinikanth came in, he was directly looking at Jayalalitha’s face; closed his eyes; wiped his tears; murmured a prayer; paid his last respects with folded hands; lowered his head and touched the body; and then placed the lower wreath at the foot. Then, Rajinikanth was looking at Panneer with folded hands; Panneer did respond to Rajinikanth. Then, Rajinikanth left that place. No other business.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi was walking into Rajaji hall. Governor Vidyasagar was accompanying the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi told Vidyasagar, “Jayalalithaji is my best friend. I would like to be alone and pay my last respects in full without any other disturbances. So, let me go alone.”

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi came in and didn’t look at any other leaders or even the people. It was obvious that Narendra Modi was shocked on seeing the dead body of his best friend.

Narendra Modi was standing still for a while and then started moving closer to Jayalalitha’s dead body.

Narendra Modi closed his eyes; wiped out the tears; stood there for a few minutes. Then, Narendra Modi walked to the other side of Jayalalitha and spent a few more minutes. Then Narendra Modi came to the front and placed the flower wreath at the foot of Jayalalitha. Before he left, Narendra Modi made a brief wish with his folded hands at the people. No hugging; no placing his hands on other’s head; no shaking hands with other politicians; no selfies; no other business.

The day was totally and completely dedicated for Jayalalitha only.

At the evening, Jayalalitha body was buried. After three days mourning, the new cabinet had swearing-in ceremony. No change at all. Panneerselvam became the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and continued with the policy of Jayalalitha. AIADMK members of parliament continue to fight strong against central government policies such as, NEET, Uday, Food Security, etc. Business was as usual in the party and the government, whether Jayalalitha was alive or dead. Neither Sasikala nor Narendra Modi could get
involved with AIADMK party affairs.

“This is wonderful and brilliant. They could have had this setup at Rajaji hall.”

“Then, nobody would have had any doubts or suspicions.”

“They could have had Jayalalitha dead body alone without anyone around her at Rajaji hall.”

“Sasikala family could have maintained their operations in the background for a week and slowly captured the power.”

“Likewise, L. Ganesan, Tamilisai and Venkaiah Naidu could have maintained a low profile at the Rajaji hall.”

“They all demonstrated their political amateurishness performance in Rajaji hall.”

“Sasikala, Tamilisai, Venkaiah Naidu, Narendra Modi, for them, announcing the death of Jayalalitha to the public was a relief. But for people, it was a shock.”

“Sasikala, Tamilisai, Venkaiah Naidu, Narendra Modi – they exhibited a sense of relief and achievement at Rajaji hall.”

“Sasikala, Tamilisai, L. Ganesan, Venkaiah Naidu, Narendra Modi – they behaved as if Jayalalitha was a demon and with great difficulty they eliminated the demon Jayalalitha and it was a celebration in the background of Jayalalitha’s dead body at Rajaji hall.”

“Sasikala, Tamilisai, L. Ganesan, Venkaiah Naidu, Narendra Modi – they couldn’t curb their enthusiasm. It was very obvious.”

“Watch the video again. As he enters, Narendra Modi didn’t even look at the face of Jayalalitha. It was obvious, Narendra Modi was uncomfortable with Jayalalitha’s dead body.”

“In fact, Narendra Modi spent very little time with Jayalalitha’s dead body, compare to the time he spent with
Panneerselvam and Sasikala.”

“Placing his hand on the head of Sasikala – that was Narendra Modi’s unique way of appreciation.”

“Narendra Modi never touched the head of Uma Bharathi or Sushma Swaraj.”

“When Amit Shah won seventy plus seats from Uttar Pradesh, Narendra Modi put his hand on Amit Shah’s head and appreciated him.”

“So, that gesture of putting his hand on Sasikala’s head was an appreciation from Narendra Modi.”

“Why does Narendra Modi appreciate Sasikala?”

“It was not a small task. Eliminating Jayalalitha is a very difficult task and Sasikala executed Narendra Modsi ’plan.”

“So, Narendra Modi and Sasikala were partners of the crime.”

“But bad partners.”

“When Sasikala could betray Jayalalitha, Sasikala may betray Narendra Modi too.”

“Narendra Modi is powerful. How could Sasikala challenge Narendra Modi.”

“Sasikala may join hands with Subramanian Swamy and challenge Narendra Modi.”

“On a worst situation, Sasikala may admit that she killed Jayalalitha on the instruction of Narendra Modi.”

“Sasikala may say, had I not obeyed to the command of Narendra Modi, Jayalalitha could have been alive; but I would have been dead.”

“By pushing entire blame on Narendra Modi, Sasikala may escape from the crime.”

“Sasikala doesn’t have any serious medical problems like Jayalalitha. So, Sasikala may blackmail Narendra Modi with Jayalalitha’s death.”

“Narendra Modi got rid of Jayalalitha. But, now Narendra Modi got a new problem with Sasikala.”

“Sasikala would not hesitate to join hands with Subramanian Swamy.”

“Subramanian Swamy brought Vajpayee down. Likewise, Subramanian Swamy would bring Narendra Modi down.”

“Let us watch both Rajinikanth and Narendra Modi videos again, frame by frame.”

“As he entered, Narendra Modi was not looking at the face of Jayalalitha. In fact, Narendra Modi didn’t visit Jayalalitha at Apollo. So, naturally, Narendra Modi should have been very curious to see Jayalalitha dead body.”

“Narendra Modi, usually does his homework; but this time, he miserably failed.”

“It was obvious that Narendra Modi just ignored the dead body of Jayalalitha and paid all his attention on working with Panneerselvam.”

“Watch this piece: Narendra Modi was with Sasikala, placing his hand on her head. Venkaiah Naidu pulled Panneerselvam and pushed him towards Narendra Modi.”

“Yes. Then Narendra Modi turned away from Sasikala and hugged Panneerselvam.”

“Why Venkaiah Naidu is here in Chennai all these days?”

“Narendra Modi didn’t send any medical professionals to save Jayalalitha. Instead, Narendra Modi sent Venkaiah Naidu to Chennai for political reasons.”

“Venkaiah Naidu’s responsibility was to eliminate Sasikala from Tamil Nadu politics.”

“It is obvious Sasikala killed Jayalalitha. But Sasikala would not have ventured to kill Jayalalitha without the full support of Narendra Modi.”

“So, Narendra Modi killed Jayalalitha.”

“Yes. The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi killed Jayalalitha for political reasons.”

“As the Prime Minister Narendra Modi couldn’t face the political challenges of Jayalalitha, Narendra Modi killed
Jayalalitha.”

“But, in that process, Narendra Modi got into deep trouble with Sasikala.”

“Narendra Modi could not eliminate Sasikala.”

“Sonia Gandhi asked the Chief Minister of Karnataka to give total protection to Sasikala in jail, if she was convicted.”

“Sonia Gandhi is ready to work with Subramanian Swamy again.”

“For Vajpayee, Subramanian Swamy worked with Jayalalitha and Sonia Gandhi.”

“For Narendra Modi, Subramanian Swamy would join hands with Sasikala and Sonia Gandhi.”

“Narendra Modi could have very well faced with the political challenges of Jayalalitha.”

“Now, Narendra Modi is in deep trouble with the killing of Jayalalitha.”

“Narendra Modi is in deep trouble with the mishandling of demonetization.”

“Narendra Modi would be in deep trouble with the collapse of Indian economy.”

“So, Jayalalitha was murdered by Sasikala. But, Sasikala would not have taken such a risk without the total support of Narendra Modi.”

“Over these seventy plus days, Sasikala took full control over the party and the government.”

“Sasikala and Narendra Modi brought down the Tamil Nadu state government to a halt and took full control over the party and the government.”

“It is a tremendous job and it took seventy-five days to complete it.”

“Had Jayalalitha been assassinated, Panneerselvam would have continued with Jayalalitha’s policy for the full term.”

“Sasikala would have gone back to Natarajan and lived a simple life.”

“AIADMK MPs would have continued to challenge Narendra Modi’s policy in both Parliament and Rajya Sabha.”

“Narendra Modi created a huge political mess in Tamil Nadu.”

“Usually, Amit Shah manages the state politics. But, for Tamil Nadu, Amit Shah stayed away.”

“Amit Shah doesn’t agree with Narendra Modi on his strategies against Jayalalitha.”

“The end game strategy is very important. They failed miserably.”

“Is the Rajaji hall, the end game.”

“Yes. They built suspense over seventy plus days. When they release the suspense, they have to be extremely careful and cautious.”

“Sasikala and Narendra Modi had been suffocating for seventy plus days with Jayalalitha’s dead body. Finally, they got relief at Rajaji hall.”

“Obviously, they couldn’t hide their relief.”

“When they take Jayalalitha’s dead body to the public, they should have displayed their struggle, frustration and all other emotions on losing Jayalalitha.”

“There was no such emotions. Only the political power struggle between Sasikala and Panneerselvam was obvious. Narendra Modi got into that struggle.”

“At Rajaji hall, almost everyone ignored Jayalalitha’s dead body and all were busy with their political activities.”

“Jayalalitha ignored the social media. But, on her death, YouTube and social media have made tremendous contributions.”

“Both Narendra Modi and Sasikala team failed to realize the common people perspective on the death of Jayalalitha.”

“For common people, till the last date, Jayalalitha’s health was kept as a secret.”

“People had no idea about the deteriorating health of Jayalalitha.”

“Naturally, people were shocked on Jayalalitha’s death.”

“Had they realized the common people perception, both Narendra Modi and Sasikala team would have staged a completely different show at Rajaji Hall.”

“But, both Narendra Modi and Sasikala team were natural at Rajaji Hall.”

“Both Narendra Modi and Sasikala team didn’t take any efforts to hide their enthusiasm for enjoying the fruits of their execution plan.”

“At Rajaji Hall, in front of live telecast to the world audience, both Narendra Modi and Sasikala team were celebrating their political future and opportunities on the death of Jayalalitha.”

“Both Narendra Modi and Sasikala team totally ignored the world audience.”

“They were focused only on Jayalalitha and they got their freedom with the elimination of Jayalalitha.”

“That Rajaji Hall show was their failure. Both Narendra Modi and Sasikala team failed miserably at Rajaji Hall.”

“Naturally, they lost all their energy at Apollo over three months on planning and the execution. They paid no attention on the public display at Rajaji Hall.”

“Had it been four or five decades back; no live television; people would not have got a chance to see the truth.”
“Now, with live telecast, with high-definition, people could watch each and every actions of Narendra Modi and Sasikala team.”

“The recordings are available in YouTube and ordinary citizens could express his views and observations via social media.”

“At this period, nobody could execute any secret plan at the large scale.”

“Let it be political or corporate decisions, everything is open to public.”

“Sasikala and Narendra Modi did maintain secrecy on activities at Poes Garden and at Apollo. But kept everything open at Rajaji Hall.”

“For common people, Jayalalitha died just a few hours back. So, they were in a state of shock.”

“For Sasikala and Narendra Modi team, Jayalalitha had gone long time ago. So they didn’t exhibit any shock or grief.”

“In movies, the film director views the story from the whole perspective.”

“Valmiki and Kambar had the whole perspective on Ramayana.”

“Valmiki and Kambar saw the activities from the perspective of Rama and Ravana.”

“…and the perspective of the citizens of Ayodhya and Lanka.”

“…and the perspective of the readers.”

“Had they had a movie director, then things would have gone well for them at Rajaji hall.”

“Initially, Narendra Modi was giving directions to his team and Sasikala team.”

“After the death of Jayalalitha, Narendra Modi started challenging Sasikala.”

“…and they lost the direction.”

“By putting his hand on Sasikala’s head, Narendra Modi acknowledged that he was the partner in the crime.”

“In 2011, it was Narendra Modi who revealed the conspiracy of Sasikala family against Jayalalitha. Based on the tip off from Narendra Modi, Jayalalitha expelled Sasikala from Poes Garden.”

“Today, Narendra Modi took Sasikala’s help in eliminating Jayalalitha.”

“As the Prime Minister of the nation, right at Rajaji hall, had Narendra Modi ordered immediate arrest of Sasikala and her family on the death of Jayalalitha, the whole world would have appreciated Narendra Modi.”

In 2011, Narendra Modi was true to Jayalalitha and exposed the threat of Sasikala.”

“If that was true, then Narendra Modi would have never been close to Sasikala.”

“People were shocked at seeing Narendra Modi putting his hand on Sasikala’s head.”

“People were shocked seeing the closeness of L. Ganesan to Sasikala and Natarajan.”

“The whole show at Rajaji hall was the total demonstration of political immaturity.”

“It was Rajaji; yes; it was Rajaji, who revealed the true nature of Narendra Modi to the world.”

“Tamilisai, L. Ganesan and Venkaiah Naidu presence at Rajaji hall, revealed the depth of their involvement in the conspiracy against Jayalalitha.”

“People of Tamil Nadu already know the nature of Sasikala and her family.”

“People of Tamil Nadu were surprised and shocked on the closeness of Narendra Modi with Sasikala and her family members.”

“Narendra Modi could have given clear instructions to the Chief Minister Panneerselvam and the Chief Secretary to remove the entire Sasikala family from Rajaji hall, at least during his homage to Jayalalitha.”

“At least, Narendra Modi could have ignored Sasikala and her family.”

“Instead, Narendra Modi publically acknowledged and recognized Sasikala and her family members.”

“That was the political blunder of Narendra Modi.”

“Narendra Modi could have avoided the Rajaji hall.”

“Narendra Modi could have arrived late and watched the last rites at Marina.”

“In that way, Narendra Modi could have maintained distance from Sasikala.”

“By putting his hand on Sasikala, Narendra Modi brought his political career to an end.”

“Because of live telecast and social media, people could understand the involvement of Narendra Modi in Jayalalitha’s death.”

“So, it is obvious that Sasikala killed Jayalalitha on the order of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

“Narendra Modi couldn’t face the political challenges of Jayalalitha. So, Narendra Modi ordered Sasikala to kill
Jayalalitha.”

“Tamilisai, L. Ganesan and Venkaiah Naidu played their role in this conspiracy against Jayalalitha.”

“Again, it was Rajaji. Yes, Rajaji brought the ugly truth out from Narendra Modi and Sasikala, for the public.”

“We have been watching these YouTube videos again and again. Let us take a break and meet next week.”

“Okay, see you later.”
